RSPS YouTube Crackdown Escalates as Multiple Channels Disappear A major crackdown on RuneScape Private Server (RSPS) content appears to be underway across YouTube, with several long-running creators either terminated, removed, or facing copyright strikes within recent days. Among the channels reportedly affected are: MerkOnRS VibraniumRS Ents RSPS Catherby RSPS wr3ckedyou Maxi YodaRS Meanwhile, several surviving channels remain active but are believed to be under pressure following copyright actions and video removals. Channels currently still online include: SohanRSPS — older videos reportedly struck and pending further review Danscapes MetalRaimon What has particularly caught the attention of the RSPS community is a recent incident involving a live stream warning allegedly delivered by an account identified as “@Tmnotices.” The message stated: “This is a final warning to stop promoting RSPS content. We have already filed takedown requests against several YouTubers for similar promotions, and this is your last warning before further action.” Screenshots of the message quickly spread throughout Discord communities and RSPS forums, leading to speculation that a third-party enforcement company may now be actively monitoring creators in real time during broadcasts. Community members have linked the notices to Web Capio, a company known for intellectual property enforcement and anti-piracy operations. However, no official public statement has yet been issued confirming direct involvement in the recent removals. Several creators within the scene also claim that live streams are now being manually monitored and flagged in real time. According to reports circulating privately among server owners and content creators, even unlisted and private live streams may no longer be safe from enforcement actions. This marks a significant escalation compared to previous copyright campaigns, which historically focused mainly on public videos and promotional uploads rather than active broadcasts. Several RSPS operators additionally claim that Discord communities have begun receiving trademark-related notices, raising fears that enforcement efforts may now extend beyond YouTube itself. According to sources within the private server scene, some server owners believe legal escalation could follow if current enforcement efforts continue. These claims remain unverified, though concern across the community has intensified considerably over the past week. The RSPS ecosystem has existed for well over a decade, operating in a legally disputed space surrounding emulation, custom game development, and use of RuneScape-related intellectual property. Historically, enforcement has been inconsistent, with some servers operating publicly for years while others disappeared suddenly following takedown campaigns. Whether this latest wave represents a short-term enforcement push or the beginning of a broader campaign against RSPS communities remains unclear. At the time of writing, neither Jagex nor Web Capio have publicly commented on the recent YouTube removals.

OS-Veldahar RSPS: A Final Farewell or a New Beginning? The inside scoop on Mr. Matt’s departure and OS-Veldahar’s future The RSPS community was recently hit with surprising news: OS-Veldahar, one of the most consistent and feature-packed RuneScape private servers, is shutting down. After years of dedication, Mr. Matt, the sole developer and owner of OS-Veldahar, has announced his retirement from the project. The server will officially close its doors on March 16, 2025, when their dedicated server expires. But was this a sudden decision? Not really. Over the last three months, Matt’s Discord activity offers a clear window into his mindset and what’s been happening behind the scenes. A Developer Deep in the Trenches For anyone following OS-Veldahar’s Discord announcements and update logs, it’s clear that Matt was doing all the heavy lifting. He handled bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and worked on massive projects like Tombs of Amascut (ToA) and D2 bosses, largely by himself. Here’s a brief timeline of Matt’s activity over the past three months: 🔧 December 2024 - Holiday Season Hustle Despite the holidays, Matt stayed active. Rolled out fixes for Nex drops, Alchemical Hydra, Cerberus, and improved achievement diaries. A new Donator Slayer Dungeon was introduced. OS-Veldahar’s Christmas event wrapped up on January 1st. ⚒️ January 2025 - All Hands on Deck Matt doubled down on bug fixes and server improvements: Runecrafting, Slayer Tasks, Collection Logs, and QoL tweaks were made. Pushed highscores to the website and teased future updates like ToA and new D2 bosses. Active communication in Discord with rapid-fire patches and player support. 🏁 February 2025 - The Last Push Continued behind-the-scenes development on ToA. Fixed longstanding issues like Battlestaves crafting, clue scroll bugs, and slayer unlockables. Delivered bonus weekends, AFK skilling zones, and automated gambling updates. Yet, there was a noticeable tone shift: his posts suggested burnout and time constraints creeping in. By March 2, 2025, the inevitable announcement came: "After much consideration, I’ve decided to step down from running the server, as I no longer have the free time to continue managing it on my own." Was It Inevitable? Matt’s solo development workload was massive. Without a team or consistent financial backing, the project depended solely on his passion and free time—two things that eventually ran out. Despite his unwavering dedication: ✅ He was actively fixing bugs until the very end. ✅ Constantly engaging with player feedback. ✅ Making content promises, like Tombs of Amascut, which sadly, didn’t reach release. What’s Next for OS-Veldahar? While the server’s shutdown is imminent, Matt has left the door open for potential buyers or new developers. His message was clear: "If anyone is interested in taking over or has any questions, feel free to DM me." Rumors are swirling about a revamp. Whether OS-Veldahar comes back depends on if someone steps up to take the reins. Why OS-Veldahar Was a Fan-Favorite Here’s what made OS-Veldahar one of the best RSPS experiences: ✅ Five game modes, including a unique One Skill Mode ✅ Challenging XP rates ✅ Bonus weekends & Well of Goodwill events ✅ AFK skilling zones & player-owned shops ✅ Over 200 achievements & 12 diaries ✅ High-end raids like CoX, ToB, and ToA (in development) ✅ Runelite client with HD plugins ✅ Custom POH, monthly leaderboards, and Hall of Fame rewards Final Thoughts from rspstoplist.com Matt’s exit is bittersweet. On one hand, the OS-Veldahar community got to experience years of his hard work and consistent updates. On the other hand, running a top-tier RSPS solo in 2025 is an exhausting job. As we say goodbye to OS-Veldahar (for now), we also remain hopeful. There’s talk of a revival, and with the right team, this could be the next big comeback in the RSPS scene.
