The decision to rebrand comes at a time when Jagex has been actively enforcing domain takedowns, which has led to uncertainty for long-standing RSPS sites. The team behind RuLocus saw this as a great opportunity to modernize the platform and create a more universal name—one that can stand on its own and avoid any potential confusion with RuneScape branding. “We’ve been exploring a rebrand for a while now,” the team shares. “As we looked to broaden our scope and modernize the platform, we knew it was time for a name that’s more universal, more future-proof, and frankly—easier for everyone to get behind.” Why No Advance Warning? RuLocus acknowledges that change can be tough, especially after so many years of familiarity.
